TWICE’s Height Order: Are They The Tallest Girl Group?

Idol girl groups have members with different appearances and talents. With their tall and proportional bodies, the taller members easily become the center of attention.

However, the shorter members have their own magical charms. TWICE has the most ideal height difference between its members. None of its members are too tall or too short. Some of its members’ heights can be deceiving because they look taller than their actual height.

Can you guess the correct height order of all TWICE members?

TWICE’s Members’ Height Order

Anyone can see that Tzuyu towers above the other TWICE members. The second tallest member, Jeongyeon, stands 3 cm shorter than Tzuyu. The other members are 4 cm shorter or more than Jeongyeon. However, if you look closely, Momo and Nayeon look much taller than their actual height because they have such long legs.

TWICE has an ideal height difference between its members. There are two tallest members and two shortest members. The remaining members stand at 160 cm to 163. There is one interesting fact. In her early debut days, Mina used to be shorter than Nayeon, Momo, and Sana. Nowadays, Mina has the same height as them. Apparently, she might just have had a later growth spurt compared to them.

Despite being the tallest member, Tzuyu envies Dahyun, the shortest member. In Showterview with Jessi Ep. 55, Tzuyu revealed that she envies Dahyun’s white skin and monolid eyes. Meanwhile, TWICE’s leader, Jihyo, wants to feel what it is like to have a tall body like Tzuyu’s.

TWICE’s Members’ Height Compared to Other Girl Groups

More than half of the female idols are taller than 165 cm, while nearly 40% are between 160 to 164 cm. Only around 10% are shorter than 160 cm.

In TWICE, only two members belong to the 10% group, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung. Dahyun, Momo, Nayeon, Sana, and Mina stand between 160 to 164 cm.

TWICE members’ average height is higher than the average height of Red Velvet’s members. Nearly all of Red Velvet’s members are shorter than 160 cm. Compared to GFriend, TWICE’s members seem a bit shorter on average than GFriend’s members.

If we compare the average height of TWICE’s members, they have a slightly shorter average height than most idol girl groups.

The tallest girl group was Nine Muses. Nearly all of its members stood above 170 cm. Since they were fashion models prior to becoming idols, it is understandable that they were way taller than the average idol girl group.

TWICE’s Height Order Compared to Other Idols

The tallest TWICE member, Tzuyu, has nearly the same height as the tallest members of “normal” idol groups such as Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Seohyun, Girl’s Day’s Yura, Weki Meki’s Doyeon, IVE’s Jang Won-young, and Pristin’s Roa.

As TWICE’s shortest members, Dahyun and Chaeyoung look very young and adorable. With their smiling eyes and cute faces, they captivate fans’ hearts. Surprisingly, the duo is slightly taller than Red Velvet’s Yeri and Irene, Cosmic Girls’ Luda, Weki Meki’s Yoojung, and (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon.

Being taller than most female idols is not necessarily the best talent. No one criticizes Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Jihyo for having less than average height. Each of them has their own charm, and they are loved for their charm and talent.
